Places to Visit in Dorset
Dorset is one of England´s richest counties, both for its scenic beauty and its historical interest. Within its boundaries it crams old-fashioned seaside resorts such as Weymouth,
Bournemouth and Swanage as well as dramatic cliff scenery, beautiful coves and bays like Lulworth and Kimmeridge and lovely old ports such as Lyme Regis and Poole.

Inland Dorset has fascinating old towns - Sherborne, Shaftesbury, Wimborne, ... - and romantic villages - Cerne Abbas, Milton Abbas, Bryantspuddle, ... - and scenery every bit as beautiful as the coast.
There is the ancient history of England - Maiden Castle where the Romans fought the Celts, Wareham where the Saxons met the Vikings, and places such as the Cerne Giant whose purpose is still uncertain.
And, of course, there is Thomas Hardy´s Wessex. No English county has been captured as completely as Hardy´s evocation of Dorset in his Wessex novels.
All these places and many more are within easy reach from Brambles ...
